Recovering and staying well in Andorra

What altitude actually changes

Andorra la Vella sits at 1,023 metres and inhabited areas rise to 2,100. That is moderate altitude: enough to affect cardiovascular and respiratory adaptation during a training camp, without the constraints of high altitude. The climate is dry and sunny, which matters for healing and for sleep.

Add a quiet, safe country, short waiting times, a culture of discretion, and two to three hours from Toulouse or Barcelona. Those are the conditions for good recovery. They are not the conditions for a cut-price operation, and we do not trade on that confusion.

The four programmes in detail

Supervised recovery

You are operated on in your own country by your surgeon, then recover in Andorra. Accommodation chosen for accessibility and quiet, physiotherapy on site, medical follow-up, and a return organised with your surgeon's agreement. Seven to ten days after day-case surgery. From €2,400 per week, companion included in the quote.

Longevity assessments

A full check-up in forty-eight hours: extended biology, imaging, cardiovascular evaluation, body composition, ageing biomarkers, and a written prevention plan handed over on departure. From €1,100. The annual programme adds remote follow-up between visits, from €3,900 a year.

Aesthetic medicine and surgery

Injectables, laser, peels and anti-ageing protocols from €380 a session. Minor day-case surgery from €2,200, followed by seven to ten days of recovery on site. No minors, no promised outcome, and a compulsory prior consultation with the practitioner.

Sports recovery

Biomechanical assessment, altitude training camp, supervised return to sport after injury, notably after ACL reconstruction. From €1,400. For individuals as much as for clubs on training camp.

What we do not take on

Neither major surgery, in any speciality. Nor active oncology and ongoing treatment. Nor emergencies and intensive care. Nor minors in aesthetic medicine and surgery, whatever the parental consent. Nor files where the patient's condition does not allow a stay outside a hospital setting.

If your request falls into those areas, we say so and we redirect you. It is commercially counter-intuitive, and it is exactly what makes the rest credible.

The question of reimbursement

This is the point on which many operators in the sector remain deliberately vague. So we say it plainly: Andorra is outside the European Union. The European Health Insurance Card does not apply there, and the S2 form does not work as it would in a member state. Partial cover is sometimes possible through private insurance or with prior agreement from your health fund, to be obtained before departure. We advise; we never promise reimbursement.

Who reads your file, and who treats you

These are two different things. Your file is first assessed remotely by the doctors of the Evitalink group, in Morocco, who determine whether your request falls within our programmes and which one suits you. They direct: they make no diagnosis and prescribe no treatment.

Medical care takes place in Andorra, with the practitioners of the chosen facility, who see you in consultation before any procedure. That distinction is not a formality: it defines who does what, and under whose responsibility.

How we select facilities

Only facilities approved by the Andorran health authorities, visited on site, with a written price list and named practitioners. Each entry in our directory carries the date of our last audit. No facility pays to be listed: our income comes from a commission on the stays we organise.
